HealthCorps® is working to bring comprehensive health education programs into more American classrooms and offer today's youth a brighter tomorrow. Its mission is to educate high school students about nutrition, exercise and mental resilience to empower youth to live a healthier lifestyle, and bring this message to their families and communities. With a format similar to the Peace Corps, HealthCorps relies on recent college graduates, interested in health-related fields, to serve as HealthCorps Coordinators. Coordinators work on-site in high school classrooms across the country, hold after school clubs, and teach teens how to respect their bodies, open their minds and increase their awareness about wellness.
